as a band singer with the Hoboken Four, then with Harry James, and then with
Tommy Dorsey. In fact singing in Tommy Dorsey’s band saw him appear in his
first movies: Las Vegas Nights and Ship Ahoy. Frank went on to appear in nearly
60 movies as well as developing his singing career. He was a renowned member of
the Rat pack which included Sammy Davis jnr, Peter Lawford, Dean Martin and
Joey Bishop. The Rat Pack tag was coined by actress Lauren Bacall, and Frank
was King Rat. Frank died on the 14th May 1998 in Los Angeles, California.
